Before being blessed with Nurgle's touch, Festus was a healer seeking the knowledge to cure all known illnesses. Personally educated by the Plague Lord over seven millennia of twisted study, Festus perfected the craft of infection and rot, eventually granted the dark gift of transformation into a daemon.
With his newfound knowledge, the sorcerer next grew the great beast Gathoblyt to transport him around his workshop and into battle. The Maggotkin leader endlessly campaigns in Ghyran, poisoning waterways with his leech-water plague - one of his favourite pestilent creations.
Followers of Nurgle, the Maggotkin combine toughness with virulent contagion. They wear disease as armour and spread despair wherever they march. Their tenacity makes them formidable opponents.
